Depending on the conference, you may be asked to submit one of the following:
- Abstract: synopsis of your research (250 words or less)
- Extended abstract: high-level summary of your research (usually less than 2 pages)
- Brief or short paper: summary of your research (usually less than 4 pages)
- Full paper: a complete paper describing your research in full (usually 6-8 pages)

You may also be invited to participate in the conference in other ways such as through a poster session, workshop, or student paper. Requirements for these types of contributions should be located on the conference website.
